HEIC to PNG
How to convert HEIC to PNG without uploading
- Add one iPhone HEIC / HEIF or a pile. Files stay in this tab.
- Each still is decoded here and written as a PNG.
- Save the PNGs, or a zip if you dropped more than one.
The originals stay on your device. You download a new file. Close the tab and the working copies are gone from memory.
HEIC to PNG, not JPG
Most people want HEIC to JPG. Use that if the destination is email, Windows, or a form. PNG is the pick when you do not want another lossy encode — a crop you will edit, a screenshot-ish still, a file you will put on a transparent layout later.
PNG will usually be larger than the HEIC. HEIC is better at the same look. That is expected.
Want a boring JPEG instead? HEIC to JPG. Want a PDF of the roll? HEIC to PDF.

HEIC to PNG FAQ
Do my HEIC files get uploaded?
No. Decode and encode run in this tab. TrashPandaKit never receives the photo.
Why is the PNG bigger?
HEIC is a more efficient container. PNG is lossless and chatty. Use HEIC to JPG if you need a smaller everyday file.
Does this strip GPS?
Yes. A canvas PNG does not copy EXIF. Check the original with Photo Location if you want the scare first.
Does this work offline?
Yes, after you have opened this tool once. That tool stays cached on this device. Other tools download when you open them.
