PDF to PNG

How to convert PDF to PNG without uploading

  1. Add one .pdf or a pile. Files stay in this tab.
  2. Each page is drawn here and written as a PNG.
  3. Save the PNGs, or a zip if there is more than one page.

The original stays on disk. You download new pictures. Close the tab and the working copies are gone from memory.

PDF to PNG, not JPG

Most people want PDF to JPG. Use that if the destination is email, a listing, or a form. PNG is the pick when you do not want another lossy encode — a diagram, a screenshot-ish page, a file you will edit.

PNG will usually be larger than the JPEG of the same page. That is expected.

Each page becomes a picture. This is not OCR — we do not extract text. Password-locked files stay locked. This tab stops at 40 pages so the browser does not melt.

PDF to PNG FAQ

Do you upload my PDF?

No. The file is read and painted in this tab. TrashPandaKit never receives the document.

Why is the PNG bigger than a JPEG would be?

PNG is lossless and chatty. Use PDF to JPG if you need a smaller everyday file.

Is this OCR?

No. Each page becomes a picture. We do not extract text.

What about a password-protected PDF?

It stays locked. We do not unlock files.

Does this work offline?
